Jimmy’s ALS Walk (previously the Walk to D’Feet ALS) typically takes place the last weekend in September at the Perquimans County High School in Hertford, North Carolina.
Roughly 200 people participate in the event. Supporters of the event are primarily residents of northeastern North Carolina; however, supporters and donors come from all across the United States.
The event begins with registration at 8 am and the walk starting at 9 am. We walk through historic Hertford, NC, Jimmy’s hometown, and finish up with each walker adding flowers to Jimmy’s gravesite – a bittersweet end to an amazing event that raises thousands in the fight against ALS.
