The time has come once again for the annual Jim “Catfish” Hunter ALS Softball Tournament.
We are proud to have Albemarle EMC as our title sponsor.
The tournament will be held September 30 – October 2 in Winfall, NC. In past years, you have been most generous in helping us fight Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as ALS.
As always, this year’s tournament will have special meaning for the Hunter family and those closest to them. As many of you know, Jimmy and Gary passed away due to complications with ALS. They fought this disease with all they had. They knew how important it is to raise as much as possible for research to “strike out” ALS. Please help us make this our best tournament ever by giving as much as possible.
Here’s just a sample of the events that have been planned for our exciting Annual event:
- The usual great food, including home baked goodies, home made chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, and Keith’s sausage biscuits Saturday morning.
- A silent auction will be held that will include several items signed by Jim “Catfish” Hunter, as well as many one-of-a-kind items.
- The presentation of the “Catfish Cup”.
- The ever popular Shotgun Raffle returns along with our Albemarle EMC Golf Ball Drop!
- A $1 per chance raffle (OVER 500 ITEMS) that will run all weekend long from Friday night all the way up until the last pitch on Sunday.
Please give as much as you possibly can. While monetary donations are preferred (mailed to the below address), please contact us if you would like to volunteer in the concession stand or donate silent auction or raffle items (see below). All help is greatly appreciated as we continue to search for a cure for ALS.
